NASS branches, members and supporters celebrated World Arthritis Day 2011 by Stretching for NASS to highlight the importance of exercise in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, in recognition of the ongoing work of our branches in providing regular hydrotherapy and physiotherapy sessions supervised by wonderful physiotherapists and to raise awareness of AS in our local communities.
Many of our branches, members and supporters also stretched a little further to raise funds for a new branch support and development fund to provide health professional training, educational opportunities and assist in recruitment activities across all our branches throughout the UK.
