How to find us
NASS HO Visit - July 2015
NASS Branch Development Officer, Laura Richards, visited NASS Perth on Monday 13 July.
NASS Perth is supported by three physiotherapists who operate on a rota. Each physiotherapist is extremely dedicated with one lady travelling regularly from Glasgow to support the branch after recently moving away.
NASS Head Office are currently working with the branch to obtain access to the hydrotherapy pool that sits next to the physiotherapy gym. We used to access the pool as part of the sessions but due to maintence, this had to stop. We are hoping that our branch members will be able to start using the hydrotherapy pool again soon, as part of their regular exercise.
Branch member, Jennifer McWilliam told NASS HO: "Regular attendance ensures that I have regular exercise, access to physios for advice, more conversations with fellow suffers - none of this I would do alone.
"This group is sociable and supportive. Now I don't just have to grumble to family."
If you would like more information on NASS Perth, or would like to start going along to their weekly physiotherapy sessions, you can contact Peter McTavish on the contact details listed at the top of this page.
On Monday 15th December 2014 the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society Perth branch celebrated their 20th anniversary at their annual night out at the North Port restaurant in Perth. This year we invited physios that have helped us over the past 20 years as well at the current ones and as usual the evening proved to be a great success.
