Open Day at Rylands Care Farm for AS

There is an open day being held at Rylands Care Farm, near Sherborne on 16th July 2011. The main farm (run by Julie Plumley and James O’Brien) hosts a care farm project, Future Roots, a not for profit company. The care farm creates opportunities for young people, adults and families to experience learning and personal development through access to farming and the countryside environment.  It will be a great day out.

NASS member, James is also keen to create an opportunity to raise awareness of ankylosing spondylitis and has arranged for Dr Raj Sengupta, Consultant Rheumatologist from the Royal National Hospital Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD) in Bath, to come and answer any questions people may have.  Members from the local NASS branch will be there as well as physiotherapists from Yeovil Hospital, and Maddy Randall, Branch Development Officer also been invited to attend and will be there to talk about the work of the charity and promote the NASS branches.

It would be great see you if you are able to drop in. Download FLYER AND DIRECTIONS HERE
