The Ankylosing Spondylitis International Federation (ASIF) were the originators of the research behind this publication.

It addresses some of the special considerations relating to the spondylitic car driver. There is an emphasis on car driving safety in general, seat belts, neck restraints and airbags.

This 28 page booklet containing 21 full colour illustrations is mainly the work of the research co-ordinator, Dr Jon Erlendsson from Denmark. He received considerable, valuable assistance from the Volvo Car Corporation.
