Welcome to the website of the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society (NASS). NASS is the only registered charity in the UK working for people with AS and their families.

If you have just been diagnosed with AS this is the place to find the answers for some of the many questions you may have. One of the most important messages for people who have been newly diagnosed is that you can really make a difference and can give yourself the best possible outcome by taking an active interest in your condition. Exercise is one of the keys to this: take a look at the advice provided on exercise.

Our Guide Book for Patients contains practical advice and information on AS. If you would like a copy click here to order your copy or you may download the guidebook in PDF format.

If you were diagnosed some time ago you may be interested to learn about the latest research and treatment for AS by clicking on about AS.

Membership with NASS is one way of keeping up to date with the latest on AS. If you are not already a member, please do consider joining NASS as this is the most effective way you can support NASS in supporting you. Click on join NASS for further information.
