NASS is very grateful to the MP for St Ives, Andrew George, for tabling an Early Day Motion (EDM) to raise awareness of AS among MPs in the new Parliament and to draw attention to the findings of the NASS report, Looking Ahead: best practice for the care of people with AS.
You can do your bit to raise awareness by emailing your own MP to tell them about the EDM and asking them to sign it. Please use the following link to read the EDM (No. 313) and forward it to your MP. Click on the Find My MP link to find out who your MP is.
Note: EDMs are formal motions submitted for debate in the House of Commons. Very few EDMs are actually debated. Instead, they are used for reasons such as publicising the views of individual MPs, drawing attention to specific events or campaigns and demonstrating the extent of parliamentary support for a particular cause or point of view.
