The 2012 NASS Patient Conference & AGM is taking place at Weetwood Hall in Leeds on Saturday 23 June 2012. 

At the conference this year you will hear from leading health professionals on the latest findings and thinking in the management and treatment of ankylosing spondylitis including: research, osteoporosis, the psychological impact of living with AS as well as a presentation on the influence that patients can have on improving rheumatology services. We are delighted to be joined by:

Roundtable Discussions with Health Professionals

The roundtable discussions also return this year with health professionals providing you with the opportunity to ask questions on 3 topics of your choice including: anti TNF, fatigue, genetics, occupational therapy, pain management, physiotherapy, psychological impact, skin problems, surgery, and uveitis. Choices can be made on the day. If there is a topic that you would particularly like to see covered or if you have a question and will not be able to attend the conference do let us know by sending NASS an email.

Annual General Meeting

As required by charity regulations NASS will take the opportunity during the conference to hold a short annual general meeting for members to present the report and accounts for the year ending 31 December 2011 and confirm appointments to the Council of Management as set out by our Constitution. Family and friends who are not members will be able to attend a simultaneous workshop to share and learn from their experiences of living with someone with AS. 

Registration

The conference is free for NASS members to attend with one guest and health professionals with an interest in AS. Anyone who is not a member of NASS should consider membership if they wish to attend. Click on the link for further information on membership.
