NASS Grimsby have been campaigning to keep the hydrotherapy pool at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital from closing. In December 2010, the local Foundation Trust launched a consultation but it seemed clear that that the preferred option of the Trust was to close the hydrotherapy pool.

Letters of concern have been written to the Chief Executive of Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a 200 person petition presented to the Trust supporting the campaign. Members of the branch have met with local MPs including Austin Mitchell who has pledged his support.  The campaign has also been reported on in the local news and on the BBC website.

However, despite all this effort, the Trust has decided to close the pool anyway.  NASS is extremely disappointed that the Trust has chosen the short term solution to prioritise cutting costs over the care of patients with long term conditions.
