We are delighted to announce that there is a new NASS branch just opened called NASS Shopshire & Welsh Marches. NASS branch members meet every Thursday at 19:00 in the Hydrotherapy pool at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH), Oswestry.
Gillian Lawrence, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Rheumatology contacted NASS and expressed an interest in setting up a new NASS branch at the hospital. The RJAH has a brand new full-sized hydrotherapy pool and she was very keen for people with AS to access this amazing facility.
Invites were sent out to everyone who lived nearby and there was a very successful meeting in January 2012 where it was decided that a new NASS branch would meet every Thursday night. NASS members came from all over Shropshire and it bordering counties and that is why they have agreed on their new name. Lots of the ‘new' branch members are actually ‘old' branch members of the NASS Shrewsbury branch which sadly had to stop meeting a while ago when the pool was closed. They are delighted that there is a NASS branch in the area once more.
