Scientists at Bern University evaluated 31 studies of people taking non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) regularly and found there was an increased risk of heart attack and stroke associated with these medications. This was reported on in the Daily Telegraph.

It is important to bear in mind that the overall numbers of people suffering heart attacks or strokes while on NSAIDs remain small. If you do feel concerned about this issue then we suggest that you make an appointment to speak to your GP about your individual cardiovascular risk.
