This year the subject for the Stene Prize essay was "How Exercise improves my Life with a Rheumatic Disease". Thank you to all those NASS members who got in contact to say that they had submitted an essay. It is a european-wide competition and although we didn't have a UK prize winner, I am delighted to say that the overall winner was Lill Due from Norway who has AS. This year the judges also shortlisted an essay from Yin Yashu, a 21 year old with AS in China. Although only european based people were eligible to enter the competition, the judges felt that Yin's story was particularly inspiring and decided to include it.
