YOMP for NASS in June

Great news for NASS supporters who want a little extra challenge for NASS - you can Yomp!' Yomp' in the event title comes from the armed forces term for a long march over open terrain. When you have completed the Yomp you will sleep very soundly knowing you have covered 23 miles and 1,200 metres of ascent, the equivalent to 30 miles on the flat! If you fancy something a little lighter you can always go for 11.5 miles (Half Yomp) and 6.5 miles (Short Yomp).

This fantastic event takes place in the Upper Eden Valley near Kirkby Stephen on Cumbria Fells on 2 June and is organised the by the Rotary Club of Upper Eden. We are delighted that this year NASS has been chosen as the charity to benefit  from the challenge, thanks to the support of Rotary Club of Upper Eden member and NASS Life Member John Andrew.

The event takes place on 2 June and costs £14 to enter (£7 for under 16s and over 60s).  Read more about the event and how to enter on the Yomp official website.

If you can't make it to Cumbria, don't forget that 2 June is also NASS en Masse in Hyde Park, London, so you can always join us there!
