Hydrotherapy: £33 per month for fortnightly sessions
We are a friendly group providing support and encouragement to people living with axial SpA (AS) to exercise. We work together with The Great Western Hospital physiotherapy team to offer weekly hydrotherapy.
We use the Thamesdown hydrotherapy pool which has easy access and is a good size (13.5m by 6m). Warm water is vital for hydrotherapy and the water is 33-34 degrees with the air temperature being balanced to match. There are good changing facilities and a comfortable lounge area if you arrive early or want a break after the session.
The sessions are designed to be fun and our physiotherapists work to regularly monitor and measure the benefits of exercising at our branch.
Please note that you must have a UK diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis (axial SpA) or ankylosing spondylitis (AS) to attend this branch.
