Physical branch meetings are currently cancelled due to COVID-19. However there are virtual activities being run by some branches. Please contact your local branch for more information.
We hope you find the information on these pages helpful. Our team is working tirelessly to provide up to date advice in relation to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic. Record numbers of people are now turning to NASS for support, and we hope to be here for everyone. Our helpline and advice service are only possible thanks to donations from people like you.
If you are able to make a donation to NASS today, we'd be so grateful.
An urgent request for support during the COVID-19 / Coronavirus pandemic
Unprecedented numbers of people are turning to NASS for help, advice and support. NASS is here for everyone affected by axial SpA (AS), but as the number of people reaching out to us grows, we need your help to meet the needs of our whole community.
Our Helpline is busier than ever
In March we answered four times more calls and emails than the previous month. We have increased the opening hours on the Helpline from three to six hours each day and hired an additional team member to help us meet demand.
We are constantly updating the COVID-19 advice for people with axial SpA
We strive to build our community in these challenging times
• We’ve introduced weekly Facebook Live sessions – the first one has already been viewed 3,500 times
• We’re working to introduce a peer support scheme
• We’re looking into establishing virtual exercise classes whilst our branches are suspended
• We’ll soon be starting check-in calls with long-standing members
“Thank you for texting me with your help it has helped me understand what to do. Keep up the good work.”
“Thank you for all the information and support you have been providing.”
