On Sunday 10 September, our previous Chief Executive Debbie and her husband Steve attended the Civic Service for the Chairman of East Lindsey District Council.
Councillor Tony Howard has been a long-term NASS supporter and he and his wife June have kindly chosen NASS as one of their two chosen charities for the year. Tony and June will be raising funds for NASS during their term of office.
Debbie Cook, said “I am delighted that the Chairman of East Lindsey District Council has chosen NASS as one of his charities for the year. Tony has been a long time NASS supporter. NASS receives no statutory support and is only able to continue the work it does, helping people with AS with the help of our fabulous fundraisers and supporters. The demand for our services has never been higher and so the need for such support is ever greater. Huge thanks to Tony and our very best wishes to him and his wife June for their civic year”.
The Mablethorpe Town Crier was at the afternoon tea event which followed the church service and was very impressive in pronouncing ‘ankylosing spondylitis’ correctly as part of his ‘oh yay, oh yay’ speech. Rumours have it he’d been practicing!
NASS is hugely grateful to Tony and June for their continued support.
