Airedale General Hospital

  • The department offers 1:1 physio (and OT if required) which includes:
    • education for the newly diagnosed
    • Advise on self-management via exercise, posture, lifestyle
    • Signposting to NASS resources
    • Individualised physiotherapy review
    • hydrotherapy sessions if indicated
    • an annual appointment for review and BASMI if referred by consultant
    • How to manage fatigue and flares
  • The option to attend the Rheumatology exercise class for up to 3/12 with exercises tailored to the patients need
  • At present the team do not have set consultant or nursing clinics but do offer annual reviews in both
  • All patients have access to the advice line and the physiotherapists offer comprehensive input also
