Royal Hallamshire Hospital

  • Monthly and weekly axial SpA (AS) clinic
  • Monthly clinic with the whole multidisciplinary team (rheumatology consultant, physiotherapist and specialist nurse)
  • Weekly extended scope physiotherapy axial SpA (AS) clinic
  • Patients can see either the clinical nurse specialist or the consultant depending on their needs.
  • In-clinic physiotherapist does the BASMI measurements and offers specialist advice, education and refers on for the further therapy as required
  • Dedicated young adults Rheumatology team which will incorporate patients with JIA – enthesitis type or an early evolving axial SpA (AS) in those aged 16-25
  • The rheumatologist with an interest in axial SpA (AS) is Dr Lisa Dunkley
  • The team also covers Northern General Hospital
