There is a specialist intensive in patient course for patients with axial SpA (AS). It includes intensive physiotherapy, hydrotherapy (when required), occupational therapy and educational sessions with the medical team.
A virtual clinic for axial SpA (AS) patients who can self score disease activity indices and send electronically into Trust is currently being developed. This can reduce need for clinic attendances and also trigger a review as required.
