We are a very friendly and sociable group, who meet weekly on Thursday evenings. We celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2025 . New members are always welcome and your first session is free.
All sessions are led by an experienced physiotherapist with an interest in axial SpA. Each session starts with time to chat and share any issues with the physiotherapist.
We begin with a gentle warm up and range of movement exercises. In the middle of the session, we have a different focus each week. For instance, we may concentrate on lower back one week and then hips another week. We end with cool down stretches and then there’s more time to chat over a cup of tea.
Please note that you must have a UK diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis (Axial SpA) or ankylosing spondylitis (AS) to attend this branch.
