Study Title: ELEVATE study: Exploring Lived Experiences and Views on Antidepressant Treatment in Chronic Pain
What is the research about?
Many people with chronic pain are prescribed long-term antidepressants to help with their pain management. This includes amitriptyline, duloxetine and other medications. However, very little is known about how people living with chronic pain experience this antidepressant treatment.
The researchers want to talk to people with lived experience to find out about the positive and negative effects of antidepressants on their life. They want to do this by talking to people currently taking antidepressants for their pain and people who have stopped taking antidepressants for their pain.
